First aid & expert tips
Understanding your machine’s warning signs. Small causes can have major effects: serious faults often give early warning. Understanding your machinery saves time and prevents costly damage. We help diagnose problems and provide prompt solutions.
Is the motor making unusual noises?
What it means: Whistling, grinding or rattling usually indicates early bearing damage or an imbalance.
Our advice: Do not wait until the motor seizes. Replacing bearings in good time is cost-effective and prevents serious damage to the shaft, casing or winding. We assess the noise on site or in our workshop and replace wear parts professionally.
What should I consider when changing gearbox oil, and when is a change needed?
Gearbox oil ages and loses its lubricating properties, increasing wear. Regular changes, based on operating hours, are essential for machine reliability.
The right oil: The wrong lubricant can attack seals or accelerate wear. We know which oil your gearbox requires, carry out the service professionally and help prevent complete failure.
Why is my motor seized? (The fan will not turn)
Possible causes: Usually a bearing has seized (often due to insufficient lubrication or maintenance), or a foreign object has caused mechanical damage. A thermally overloaded, fused winding can also jam the mechanism.
Our solution: We dismantle the motor, analyse the damage and thoroughly test the winding. With our CNC department and winding shop, we can bring almost any seized motor back to life.
The key question: is repair still worthwhile?
This is the question customers ask most often. There is no universal answer, but our rule of thumb is: Yes, repair is almost always worthwhile when…
- it is a high-quality industrial machine or a special custom-built unit .
- a new purchase would involve long lead times that would stop your production.
- the machine is integrated into a system and replacement would require costly modifications .
- the environmental footprint matters: repairing is more sustainable than scrapping.
Our transparency promise: We provide an honest cost-effectiveness assessment in advance. If a new purchase really is cheaper or technically preferable, we say so openly and give manufacturer-independent advice.
