Koci Elektromaschinen GbR

Some things take time to perfect. For us, it has been almost 100 years. What began in 1930 is now carried on by the fourth generation. This continuity is no coincidence: it comes from a true passion for traditional craftsmanship.

Our history

1930 – Foundation

Koci was founded by Kamillo Koci in Jonsdorf. From very small commissions, it gradually developed into a larger craft business undertaking a wide range of electrical machinery work.

1964

In 1964, it became Koci Elektromaschinen, establishing itself as a recognised medium-sized business working on electrical machinery throughout the former East Germany.

1992

In 1992, production expanded to include powerful small compressors with DC motors and control units from 12 V to 250 V, for use across the vehicle manufacturing sector.

2001

In 2001, Koci Elektromaschinen became Koci Elektromaschinen GbR. Together with Helmut Koci, Brigitta Lachmann and Silke Koci took over management as the third generation.

2006

In 2006, the business expanded again in response to market conditions. The mechanical department, originally intended solely for in-house production, added CNC machinery so it could also offer contract milling and turning.

2009

In 2009, following Helmut Koci’s departure, Brigitta Lachmann and Silke Koci assumed sole management of the company.

2013

In 2013, a major compressor order saw more than 100 complete compressor systems supplied to Jungheinrich in Lüneburg.

2014

In 2014, a second major compressor order followed: more than 300 units would be supplied to Linde in France over the next four years.

2016

In 2016, the fourth generation joined management. Brigitta Lachmann stepped down, and her children Christina and Sebastian took over alongside Silke Koci.

2019

The company expanded with a new CNC production hall. The pump service department also grew when two skilled colleagues joined from the former Elektromaschinenbau Kretschmer company in Olbersdorf.
